The Jaguar F-Type Coupe and Tom Hiddleston in Art of Villainy
The UK has only just got the British Villains video advert for the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe (it was broadcast earlier this week on ITV), but that’s just the start of Jaguar’s campaign to make the world aware that the new F-Type Coupe offers something a bit special. The next promo video for the F-Type Coupe - Art of Villainy - has already arrived and features Tom Hiddleston as the suave villain teaching us what it takes to be a proper villain. An opening voiceover of the John of Gaunt speech from Shakespeare’s Richard II (This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England..) sets the scene for an unashamedly patriotic push for the uniqueness of the F-Type Coupe.

Jaguar has issued this tantalising teaser of its new XF - the car that will replace the S-type exec next year. The covers will be whisked off this concept car at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2007 proving that, finally, Jaguar is throwing off its stuffy image after years of safe, retro-styled saloons. Although this tightly cropped teaser shot doesn't reveal the whole car, it's plain to see that the new S-type will look forwards, not over its shoulder at the famous saloons in Jag's potted history.
It's been almost a year since General Motors announced the end of the road for Pontiac. While the century-old brand has now joined Oldsmobile, Plymouth and a long list of other iconic makes in the automotive afterlife, the collector market remains more alive than ever. A lineup of 27 classic Pontiacs, including 17 GTOs, will cross the auction block in June.
